- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1.5 Tbsp Cajun Seasoning

- ½ Fresh Squeezed Lemon (or Lime)
- 1.5 Tbsp Cajun Season
To get started with this Cajun Butter Surf and Turf recipe, first prepare the prawns by making sure they are deveined, then place them in a bag to marinate with garlic, olive oil, and Cajun seasoning. While the prawns are marinating, pre-season your ribeye steak by applying a combination of salt, pepper, and garlic or your favorite steak seasoning.
Once your steak and prawns have marinated for an hour or two, it's time to get your Slow ‘N Sear Kettle Grill up to temperature. To do this, simply add a full chimney basket of charcoal into the Slow ‘N Sear insert and stabilize it. Next, place the ribeye steaks over the charcoal and flip every 45 seconds until you've formed a nice crust/sear. At this point, rotate the EasySpin grate so that the ribeyes are off the coals, then begin making your Cajun butter while the ribeyes finish cooking on the indirect side of the grill.
For the Cajun butter, simply mix together the butter, garlic, parsley, lemon, and Cajun seasoning in a small skillet, then remove from heat once combined. Once the Cajun butter is ready, remove it from the heat and place the skewered, marinated prawns over the coals to cook for about a minute on each side, brushing on some Cajun butter after the prawns have been flipped.
Once the prawns are done, remove them from the heat and double-check the internal temperature of your ribeye for your preferred doneness. At this point, remove everything from the heat and plate it, making sure to drizzle on any extra Cajun butter for added flavor.
Top with some fresh minced parsley and you’re in for one incredible feast!
