Drip 'N Griddle Pan - Deluxe
3-in-1 Grill Accessory!
The Drip ‘N Griddle Pan – Deluxe lives up to its name….and more!
Drip Pan – Made from nearly 4 pounds of sturdy and durable 304 stainless steel, the Drip ‘N Griddle Pan is contoured to fit perfectly next to the Slow ‘N Sear on the charcoal grate and helps with airflow. The air from the bottom vents is forced to exit through the bottom of the Slow 'N Sear, which makes the fuel hotter. Also say goodbye to messy foil – even the biggest messes are contained by the Pan’s raised edges and the easy-access side handles make cleaning up after a cook a breeze!
Griddle – Transfer the Pan to the cooking grate and place it above the coals for a flat-top grilling experience on your kettle. Bacon and eggs, anyone? Note: Stainless steel can warp if it's placed over extreme heat. You should only use a small amount of charcoal when using it as a griddle to prevent warping. Preheat the pan on the indirect side of the grill before placing it directly over the coals.
Warming – Use the cooking grate to allow maintenance of much lower temps on the indirect side, while still having enough heat to sear when needed. (see photo)
The Deluxe version features sleeker, streamlined edges; exterior welded handles and comes standard with a stainless steel Roasting Rack! Use the Roasting Rack together with the Pan for a complete roasting solution. Or take advantage of the specially designed feet that allow the pan to sit directly on the charcoal grate making it a simple, easy way to transfer small items on/off the grill.
Compatible with 22″/26″ kettles and the Weber Summit® Charcoal Grill.
Pan and roasting rack are dishwasher safe.

I've learned a lot on my quest to tame the flame. I finally felt like I learned enough to buy an advanced charcoal kettle grill, with all the bells and whistles. I also had plans to buy a bunch of stuff from SnS, because everyone raves about their gear. I have been happy with everything, all the way from the sliding cover for the hole I drilled to pass in the temperature probes all the way up to the Slow and Sear Deluxe. This particular purchase involved the Drip 'N Griddle pan (Deluxe). In conjunction with the Slow 'N Sear, and the Easy Spin grate, I have the perfect set-up for grilling with a two-zone system. Not only does this come with a roasting grate that I can use to roast or barbeque larger meats with, but even when I'm running in grill mode, I can put the griddle pan in, covered in foil, and I keep my beloved shiny, new kettle grill clean from the drippings. (Seriously, if you enjoy the yearly grill cleaning day, let me know, I'll send you a few of my grills to brighten your day!) Then, if it's desirable, I can take those drippings and make a sauce or a gravy for extra flavor. My weekends are not slow enough for me to have the time and patience to attempt smoked pancakes yet, but maybe down the road, I'll give it a shot. At the least, this Drip 'N Griddle pan wears a lot of hats, and does everything that I've tasked it with very well. My only complaint is that I wish I'd known there was a cast iron edition, and I'd have bought that one instead...not that there's anything wrong with this steel edition, but steaks, lovingly grilled over charcoal, bathed in smoke, finished on the hot cast iron?? How could you say no?! SnS is a fantastic company, that makes superb grills and accessories. Their customer service is proactive, professional, and very thoughtful. They take your satisfaction as seriously as they take their product design. No detail is missed, and they'll call you in advance to smooth over worries you didn't even know you were supposed to have. Their products are high quality, built to last, and stand up to the extreme environment presented by the serious (and even creative) flamed food artist. Honestly, just try their products. You'll never look back, and your food will be better for it!
I have used mind as a drip pan, cooked a full breakfast on it, and roasted a beer can chicken on it…great product!
This review is more about the functionality of the drip and griddle vs the item itself. The quality of the pan and grill seem excellent. My issue is getting real usable value from it considering the cost. It certainly doesn't justify its cost simply to catch grease. I've tried using it as secondary cooking space under the main grill when that is full and that was a bust. Using my Thermapen Signals I monitored cooking temps at the griddle during a BB rib cook on the top. I placed some beef short ribs down there. The temps averaged 100d f less down below making it useless as added cooking space. I'm just not sure how to get any value from it. In retrospect, I should have purchased the elevated cooking grate instead
Used it once since I just got it, to work as a drip pan with my slow n sear to do a rack of ribs for 5 1/2 hours. It did a great job of containing all the drippings from the 4 lb. rack and also helped control the air flow to the charcoal to maintain a nice even burn. I left it in the grill till the next morning, brought it in and gave it a quick scape out with my stainless steel bench knife to get rid of the heavy stuff. Then I set it across the top of my sink, gave it a squirt of Dawn and ran some hot water into it and let it sit for about an hour. Gave it a light scrub with a paper towel and a fast rinse, Then I gave it a squirt with Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser and rubbed that around with a damp paper towel, gave it a quick rinse and it was just as smooth and shiny as when I got it. It looked like brand new. That was all so easy that I can't see wasting aluminum foil when I'm going to use it. Oh yeah, and there were no sharp edges on mine either.
Works as expected. Excellent product
