I have been using the rub since it was first released and it is great on all sorts of meat. I used to make my own rubs based on Meatheads recipes from his cookbook and they were all great. These rubs save me time creating rubs and trying to keep them consistent from batch to batch. Now I use one of these depending on what I am grilling and they are easy to store as well. They even work great for food we cook in the oven.

Have not tried the Poultry so no review for that. Pork and Meat rub was too sweet, not bad but more than I prefer. Not enough pepper for the Meat but then I always crush my own. Would I purchase it again, not really sure as I just wanted to try this rub but was not looking to replace my own.

I've been grilling / smoking for 60 years, I've tried all the rest (big names), but these are the best by far! Since I (almost ) always tweak recipes and cooking methods/procedures, these are BASE rubs with an almost infinite number of combinations (see Donald Knuth - Art of Computer Programming: Semi-numerical Algorithms). And, Yes, I'm trying to replicate with my own herbs, but I'll still buy more over time. @Davisbarbecue - about to move all the content to AmazingRibs.com and delete the IG account.

This is a nearly Perfect Poultry Rub. I use it under the skin with a little butter, and it makes for great tasting chicken. Works just as great on turkey too.
