I would have given it a 5 star rating but the threads on one of the ends of the lid holder was stripped. I rigged a fix but not sure if it has longevity. Cooking has been great. I easily maintained a 225 to 250 temp for a 5 hour rib cook(2 racks), they came out awesome. Searing the steaks over the SNS then rotating to the cool side to finish had them perfect. Chicken this weekend.

Nice Kettle Gril well-made and very nice system. I bought the original Slow & Sear & the Cast Iron Griddle & Baking mat with the Kettle. Only complaints minus 1 star: 1. Come on guys Leg Assemblies are marked made in China really. 2. Leg Brace / Bottom storage shelf could be a little heavier gauge; with 4 legs it still has some Wable to it when you move it. 3. SS Grate could be just a little wider, so it doesn't bounce around so much when you clean it

Overall I really love it. My only issue, and it’s not a huge one, but the ash catcher does tend to drop a little ash when cleaning. I didn’t have this issue on the Weber. But other than that I love the grill
United StatesNot Quite Perfect
So far, I’ve grilled chicken thighs, rotisseried chicken, smoked herbed chicken breast, smoked about a dozen racks of ribs, seared steaks, grilled brats, grilled fajitas, and smoked bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeños. Everything has come out excellent. It took a couple rounds to be able to maintain the temps at the proper levels over a period of time, but it is a short learning curve. Being able to easily spin the grill is awesome. It helps when searing the bacon on wrapped jalapeños, getting the crispy chicken skin, and putting the perfect sear on steaks. As far as cooking, the kettle is wonderful. But there are a few issues that prevent this from getting 5 stars. 1. The grill is incredibly wobbly. I’m not worried that it will fall over or break, but it makes it feel cheap. 2. The porcelain finish was poor. I had one area (about 1” in diameter) on the interior that was bare metal. That speaks of poor quality. There is absolutely no excuse for this. 3. The side shelf did not fit properly. (The shelf bracket that attaches to the grill was welded on incorrectly.) I did manage to get three bolts in, but it is not possible to get the fourth one in without re-drilling the hole in the kettle. For now, I’ve opted to go with just three bolts. Again, this is a quality issue that shouldn’t happen. 4. The side shelf does seem flimsy, but it is nice to have during a cook. I wouldn’t put anything heavy on it. 5. The dome lid is very shallow which limits the size of what can be cooked. No turkeys. You can’t use a rib rack because the ribs it the dome and the lid won’t sit all the way down. It would be nice if the dome was a couple inches deeper. 6. Mine leaked smoke like a sieve around the lid. I had to order the foam seal to put on it. In spite of these issues, the unit does work very well. It is simple and easy to use. It also provides a variety of cooking methods that allow you to get smoke flavor in your cooks.

This SNS kettle is superb. I’ve had kettles in the past and sold them all off. Wanting to get another kettle I picked the sns. I love the stability, side table and all other aspects of this grill. This is sure to be one the daily driver for me.
