Have had my SnS Kamado for about 7 months now and couldn't be happier with it. Prior to purchasing, I had been using the SnS in my Weber Kettle for about a year and grew very fond of the two zone set up. It was time to upgrade and the SnSK was the perfect choice. Versatility is important to me, especially at higher price points. No one wants to spend a lot of money on a grill that's limited in what it can do. The fact that this can do everything the other kamados can do, PLUS the two zone set up, made it an easy decision. My only hesitation up front was that it is a relatively new product coming from a smaller, lesser known company. Going with a Big Green Egg or Kamado Joe "felt" like a safer purchase, but I'm happy to report that the opposite was true. The quality on the SnS Kamado is top notch and the customer service has been excellent. Without even asking, SnS sent out newly designed covers just because they didn't like the old design. As an added bonus, it looks great on my patio. Buy without hesitation. We use it as often as we can.
It took me a long time to pick this out, and a while more to justify the expense. But it was the best decision. I’ve grilled, smoked, baked bread, and made pizza. I couldn’t be happier. It was easy to assemble (or so said my husband). I had a question and customer service was amazing. The company and product are wonderful.
I bought my grill from SnS about 6 months ago and love it. I am not much of a review guy but they just sent me a cover replacement without me even knowing, that's months after I bought the grill. Had to write the review, when a company does that you know its a company that stands for their product and cares about their customers! That being said going to go find them on Google and but in a review mainly because after I Just finished learning how to build website for my company I learned that its so easy to make up fake reviews on any website thats not controlled by Google and that includes not letting the bad ones be posted its all controlled by most likely the owner him or her self, Just some advise never believe reviews that are built into any e-Commerce website. This one is legit!
Just a note to say how pleased I am with my new Deluxe Kamado. It arrived on time, VERY thoughtfully packaged, top quality in every way, and I had a fine first cook (lamb chops-indirect), and I was able to see how easily I was able to control its temperature. I was impressed with just how much charcoal was still left after letting it go at over 300 degrees for several hours. Soooo glad I was able to unwittingly snag one of the last ones before you ran out. I’m assuming that you ran out of inventory on them because of positive word of mouth and lots of orders for them. So far, I could not be more pleased.
The kamado grill itself is fantastic. I agree with all the other reviews about the versatility and how well it performs. My issue is with the stand. It is well made from high quality parts, but it's design makes it a high risk for tipping over, especially while being moved. The stand has two main flaws: the casters are too small and the stand base isn't wide enough. The casters are only 2.75", which easily get stuck in any crack or space in concrete or deck boards (see image). They need to be at least 4-5" casters. If you've ever moved around a shop cart with too small casters on an uneven shop floor, then you'll know what I'm talking about. Furthermore, when a wheel gets stuck in a crack, it causes the whole assembly to tip precariously. If stand base were wider, this wouldn't be a problem. If you don't plan to actually wheel your SnS Kamado around, then this won't be a problem for you. But if you do need to move it, even short distances, prepare to be extremely cautious. It's extremely anxiety inducing to have worry at all about a grill this expensive and fragile potentially tipping over. The design should be absolutely bomb proof so you can focus on grilling and smoking instead of worrying about shattering your grill. Luckily the casters are replaceable, so I will be replacing those right away. I hope in the next iteration of design they ship larger casters and make the stand base wider and more stable.
